INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The Investiture Ceremony was held on 16 July 2026 at 11:00 AM in the school auditorium of SAFA English Medium Senior Secondary School. The programme marked the formal appointment of the newly elected student council members for the academic year.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Kumar Kumar ., Sub Inspector of Police, Pazhayangadi, who addressed the students on the importance of leadership, responsibility, discipline, and service. The newly elected leaders proudly took the oath of office and received their badges and sashes, pledging to uphold the values of the school and carry out their duties with sincerity.

The Principal, teachers, students, witnessed the event with great enthusiasm. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, inspiring the young leaders to lead by example and serve the school community with dedication.

SPORTS QUIZ COMPETITION

The Sports Quiz Competition was successfully conducted on 14 July 2026 at the Conference Hall of SAFA English Medium Senior Secondary School.

The competition was organized in two categories:

• Category 3 (Classes VIII to X) – Held at 10:30 AM

• Category 4 (Classes XI & XII) – Held at 2:05 PM

Students from both categories participated with great enthusiasm and displayed excellent knowledge of various sports, athletes, tournaments, and sporting history. The quiz was conducted in a lively and competitive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork, quick thinking, and sports awareness.

The programme concluded successfully with appreciation for all participants and organizers. The event helped promote interest in sports and enhanced students’ general knowledge in an enjoyable way.

HERITAGE INDIA QUIZ

The Heritage India Quiz for Category 3 & Category 4 was successfully conducted on 13 July 2026 at SAFA English Medium Senior Secondary School.

The quiz aimed to enhance students’ knowledge of India’s rich cultural heritage, historical monuments, traditions, freedom movement, and national achievements. Students from both categories participated enthusiastically and showcased excellent awareness, confidence, and teamwork throughout the competition.

The event promoted curiosity, learning, and appreciation for India’s diverse heritage while encouraging healthy competition among students. The programme concluded successfully, and all participants were appreciated for their active involvement and remarkable performance.

MATH OLYMPIAD WINNERS

AKSHARADEEPAM INAUGURATION

The Aksharadeepam programme was inaugurated on 18 July 2026 at 9:00 AM .The programme was organized to promote reading habits and create greater awareness about the importance of newspapers among students.

The inauguration was conducted by Shri Ramesh Chennithala who addressed the gathering and emphasized the value of reading, education, and staying informed through newspapers. Students and teachers attended the programme with great enthusiasm.

The event highlighted the role of newspapers in improving language skills, general knowledge, and critical thinking. The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students, making it an inspiring and educational experience for all.

INTERNATIONAL MOON DAY CELEBRATION

The Science Club of SAFA English Medium Senior Secondary School celebrated International Moon Day on 20 July 2026 with a variety of creative and educational activities for students from Classes I to XII.

Students of Classes I & II participated in Moon Phases Colouring, while Classes III & IV created attractive Moon Craters. Classes V & VI showcased their creativity by making rockets using waste materials. Classes VII & VIII and IX & X designed informative and artistic space-themed posters. Classes XI & XII prepared creative magazines related to space exploration and the Moon, demonstrating their research and design skills.

The celebration inspired students to explore the wonders of space, encouraged scientific thinking, and enhanced creativity. The programme was a great success, creating awareness about space science and fostering curiosity among students of all age groups.

3. The Island of Scarlet Spires

In the boundless sky where silence reigns,

Floats an island of towering plains.

Sharp as arrows, its spires rise,

Piercing the depths of midnight skies.

Above, the Milky Way softly gleams,

Learning Beyond Classroom

Learning does not happen only inside a classroom. Every experience in life teaches us something valuable. Learning from classroom and studying things that's only from the textbooks does not make us grow.

Reading books, visiting libraries and museums, travelling, participating in sports, volunteering and interacting with people help us gain knowledge and develop life skills. These experiences teach us teamwork, communication, problem solving, creativity and confidence. Technology allows us to learn through educational videos, online courses and virtual discussions. Learning beyond classroom helps us connect what we study in real life and make education more meaningful. It encourages us curiosity, independent thinking and lifelong learning.

A good education is not limited to textbooks or exams. It is about understanding the world around us and becoming responsible, compassionate and capable individuals. Everyday offers a new opportunity to learn something that helps us grow.
