Madhuram Malayalam — A Handwritten Tribute to Our Language
On August 4, 2025, the students of Class 5G at SAFA English Medium School released a beautifully crafted 8th issue of handwritten magazine “Madhuram Malayalam." Created under the guidance of their class teacher, this magazine stands as a heartfelt tribute to the richness, rhythm, and emotional depth of our mother tongue.
Every page of Madhuram Malayalam reflects sincere effort and genuine love for the language. From poems and short stories to proverbs and quotes, the magazine captures the essence of Malayalam in the most personal and creative way possible—through the strokes of each student’s own handwriting.
What makes this magazine truly special is not just the content, but the intention behind it. In an age dominated by digital screens and typed words, Madhuram Malayalam brings back the forgotten charm of writing by hand, connecting students not only to the language but to the tradition it carries.
This magazine is more than an academic exercise—it’s a quiet celebration of identity, culture, and the emotional ties we hold with our native tongue. Madhuram Malayalam reminds us that the language we speak is also the language we feel, and preserving it begins with owning it—letter by letter.

Reader’s Café: A Day of Stories and Young Voices
The Reader’s Café for the month of July was held on August 7th, Thursday, and the school library buzzed with excitement. From tiny readers in Class 1 to thoughtful teens in Class 12, students walked in holding their books — and walked out with ideas, opinions, and a little more love for reading.
Each class had a story to share — from the magical journey of "The Fox and the Magician" to the powerful reflections in "The Story of My Life." Discussions flowed naturally, laughter echoed, and some students even surprised everyone with how deeply they connected with the characters. It wasn’t just about reading — it was about seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.
The results are in, and winners from each class group were announced. But truly, every student who showed up, spoke up, and shared their thoughts — already won.

GAZA: Hope in the Ashes
Beneath the sky, where dust and fire meet,
Gaza breathes through aching streets.
Children’s laughter, once so bright,
Now hides in shadows of the night.
Walls remember every tear,
Every whispered prayer they hear.
The sea still sings along the shore,
A lullaby of "peace once more."
Olive trees stand scarred, yet strong,
Holding centuries in their song.
Even in darkness, hope takes flight,
A stubborn star in endless night.
Gaza dreams, though chains still bind,
Of a day when love rewrites the mind—
When wounds will heal, and skies will clear,
And freedom’s voice will echo here.

From Ashes to Strength— A Tribute to Hiroshima
80 years back, Hiroshima was not only attacked—
it was broken.
In one instant, a whole city went up in flames,
families disappeared, lives forever altered.
The suffering didn't stop when the flames went out.
It hung in the air, in the bodies, in the minds—
handed down to generations who did not ask for this sorrow.
And still, Japan recovered.
Stone by stone, hope by hope,
they rebuilt a nation from rubble.
Today, they are world leaders in technology,
towering figures in the international economy,
a living demonstration that resistance is greater than ruin.
But let us never forget the price.
The wounds of Hiroshima are not past to be revisited.
May there never be another city reduced to ash,
another child scarred by an invisible war.
May those in power recall the burden of their decisions.
May the world never again see an atomic strike.
Let remembrance guide us toward peace.
