Turning Pages, Touching Minds: Reading Week Celebration
Safa English Medium School has brought to life the week of June 19th to 25th with the subtle enchantment of books and the delight of shared tales. Under the umbrella of theme "Turn the page & change the world," Reading Week is not an event, but a celebration of reading, imagination, and curiosity, coupled with the joy of reading for life.
Classrooms have become corners of storytelling, and the corridors resonate with the hum of imagination. From picture-storying and sequencing to dynamic oral recitations and hand-written magazines, students are discovering the magic of words in ways that are both enjoyable and meaningful.
One of the highlights of the week has been the dedication of class libraries—small oases of books that invite all children to stop, imagine, and discover.
What's making this week special, though, is the sense of belonging. With each group reading shared and caring discussions, students are learning that reading doesn't only make us bigger—reading brings us closer.
As the pages keep turning, so do minds and hearts. And in every young reader’s smile, we see the quiet promise of a better, wiser tomorrow.
Read together, Grow together.
മധുà´°ം മലയാà´³ം – A Tribute to Our Mother Tongue , Class magazine by 5-C
Students of class 5-C of Safa School celebrated "Madhuram Malayalam" on June 19th to commemorate the richness and the beauty of our mother language, Malayalam as a part of reading week celebrations. The event was organized under the supervision of their class teacher at Safa School. The event was to remind young minds of their cultural heritage and linguistic pride.
Students eagerly took part, writing poems, short speeches, and stories, which brought out the beauty of Malayalam literature. The highlight of the day was a creative poster and magazine release presentation, including drawings and writings by students based on Kerala's nature, language, and heritage.
With "Madhuram Malayalam," the class not just celebrated a language but also embraced the feelings, memories, and identity it bears. The event wonderfully reminded us that though English might help us reach the world, Malayalam reaches our soul.
It was a sincere endeavour to hold on to the spirit of our legacy, showing us that language is not merely a tool of communication but a string that binds generations.

PEOPLE WITH KINDNESS
Once upon a time there was a bird who had no house. It asked many trees if it can build a house there. First it asked a gooseberry tree, then it said no. Then it asked a jackfruit tree but it too said no, then it asked a banana tree then it said yes.
There came a strong wind then, there was rain, first it struck the gooseberry tree, then it struck the jackfruit tree, only the banana tree remained. God only saved the banana tree because of its kindness"

ENVIRONMENT
The place where people, things, and nature that surround any other living organism is called Environment. The word "Environment" stems from the French word "Environer," meaning "to surround." Environment is our basic life support system. It provides the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the land where we live.
There are three major components of Environment. They are natural environment, human-made environment, and human environment. Natural environments are environments that are made by nature, such as air, water, land. The human-made environment is an environment that is made by humans, such as roads, bridges, monuments, etc. Religion, community, family - these all come under the human environment. The human beings modify natural Environment through making cars, mill factories, industries, etc. The world of living organisms is called biotic environment. There are two major components of biotic environment that are Plants and Animals. Abiotic environment means the world of non-living elements, such as land, water, and air.
Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Lithosphere, and Biosphere are the four main domains of our environment. The domain of water is known as the Hydrosphere, such as rivers, lakes, seas, oceans, etc. It is very essential for all living organisms. The thin layer of Air that surrounds the Earth is called Atmosphere. It consists of a number of gases, dust, and water vapor. Lithosphere is the solid crust or hard top layer of the earth. It's made up of rocks and minerals and covered by a thin layer of soil. It's an irregular surface with various landforms, such as mountains, plateaus, plains, etc.
The narrow zone of the earth where Land, water, and Air interact with each other to support life is called Biosphere. It is very important for the existing environment. The environment day is celebrated on June 5th. It is a day to save the environment.
If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.

THIS GENERATION
We scroll more than we speak,
Chase dreams, but fear the weak,
Smile online, but break inside,
Loud in voice, but truth we hide.
We care for the world, then burn it twice,
Talk of peace, but gamble with ice,
We know too much, yet feel too less,
Smart and lost, in the same breath.
We build soft futures on shaking ground,
Afraid to be silent, yet hate every sound,
A million friends, a quite mind,
Always ahead, but falling behind.
