School Parliament Election 2025 – Democracy in Action

The spirit of leadership and student democracy comes alive once again at SAFA English Medium School as we gear up for the much-awaited School Parliament Election, to be held on Tuesday, 8th July 2025.

Carrying forward the values of responsibility, representation, and integrity, this event allows students to cast their votes and choose leaders who will represent their voice for the academic year.

Guided by the quote,
"A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others see,"
this election is not just about winning a title—it’s about embracing service, vision, and trust.

Campaigns are on full swing, with posters, debates, and promises echoing across the campus. Every ballot cast will shape a team of leaders ready to make a difference.

Let the votes speak—and let leadership rise.

Checkmating the Competition: Our Young Chess Minds Shine Bright

On July 5th, 2025, something beautiful happened. A group of students from S.E.M.S sat across wooden boards, quiet and focused—not for fame, but for the love of the game. At the IAME Chess Championship, they didn’t just play chess. They represented us. They represented heart, discipline, and silent strength.

From Grades 5 to 11, each of them carried our school’s name with pride:

- Sayyed Muhammed P P (8B)
- Aaliya Ashraf (7A)
- Muhammed Hani Hashim (9A)
- Hamda Zainab Haris MV (9D)
- Amina Ashkar  (5 G)
- Ameen Ashkar(5 G)

Among them stood two shining stars —
V P Rizwan (11A) who became the Individual Champion – Under 19 Boys,
and Aysha Ashraf MV (9B), crowned Individual Champion – Under 19 Girls.
Their victories were not loud, but deeply inspiring.

What makes their achievement special isn’t just the trophies they brought back—it’s the quiet patience, the thinking minds, and the courage to compete with grace.

This was more than just a game. It was a reminder that brilliance often speaks softly.

Book for the Month

SAFA English Medium School is proud to launch “Book for the Month”, an initiative to nurture the reading and writing habits of our students. As part of this, a Review Writing Competition will be held on 7 July 2025 for classes 1 to 12, encouraging students to dive into books and express their thoughts creatively.

Each grade group has been given a selected book:

- Class 1 & 2: Good Morning, Adventure Bay!
- Class 3 & 4: Grandma’s Bag of Stories by Sudha Murty
- Class 6 to 8: Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
- Class 9 to 12: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Students are invited to read their respective books and write heartfelt, original reviews. This is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of imagination, empathy, and the power of words.

Listening, Learning, Leading: Our Campaign Journey

As part of the school parliamentary elections, candidates stepped beyond posters and promises. They walked into classrooms, not to speak—but to listen.

From Classes 6 to 12, each room became a space for conversation. The aspiring leaders sat with students, not as candidates, but as fellow students who cared. They asked, "What bothers you at school?" and "What would you like to change?" And the answers poured in—small worries, big dreams, simple suggestions.

It wasn’t about winning. It was about understanding.

From lunch break complaints to club ideas, every voice was heard. And in those honest, sometimes shy conversations, something beautiful grew: trust.

More than a campaign, it became a shared hope—of making school a little better, together.
