Madhuram Malayalam (Issue 11) — A Handwritten Tribute to Our Mother Tongue

Students of Class 5D at SAFA English Medium School released a beautifully crafted 11th issue of handwritten magazine “Madhuram Malayalam." Created under the guidance of their class teacher, this magazine stands as a heartfelt tribute to the richness, rhythm, and emotional depth of our mother tongue. What makes this magazine truly special is not just the content, but the intention behind it. In an age dominated by digital screens and typed words, Madhuram Malayalam brings back the forgotten charm of writing by hand, connecting students not only to the language but to the tradition it carries. This magazine is more than an academic exercise—it’s a quiet celebration of identity, culture, and the emotional ties we hold with our native tongue. Madhuram Malayalam reminds us that the language we speak is also the language we feel, and preserving it begins with owning it—letter by letter.

THE OCEAN’S POWER

The ocean stretched out to the horizon its waves crashing against the shore. A young boy spent hours exploring the beach, collecting treasures, and watching the waves. He saw the ocean's fury and calmness and learned to respect its power.

The ocean, which shaped the coastline, is removing rocks and creating new land. The boy felt small yet connected to its vastness and knew the ocean's secrets were hidden beneath its surface.

This appears to be a handwritten essay or story about the ocean's power and its impact on a young boy who spends time exploring the beach.

Saja(10-A)

THE SMILE

There is a smile of love,
And there is a smile of deceit,
And there is a smile of smiles
In which these two smiles meet.

And there is a frown of hate,
And there is a frown of disdain
And there is a frown of frowns
Which you strive to forget in vain.

For it sticks in the heart's deep core.
And it sticks in the deep backbone
And no smile that ever was smiled, But only one smile alone,

That betwixt the cradle and grave
It only once smiled can be;
And, when it once is smiled
There's an end to all misery
