The Small Town with No Reflections

As I drove into town, I noticed something strange. The windows of the buildings, the mirrors in the shops, and even the lake's calm surface – none of them reflected my image.
At first, I thought it was just a weird trick of the light. But as I walked through the deserted streets, I realized that I wasn't alone. The townspeople were all around me, their eyes following my every move.
But when I looked into their faces, I saw nothing. No reflections, no echoes, no souls.
I tried to flee, but the town seemed to shift and twist around me. I stumbled upon a small antique shop, and inside, I found an old mirror.
As I approached it, I felt a chill run down my spine. And then, I saw my reflection staring back at me – but it wasn't alone.
Behind me, the townspeople stood, their eyes black as coal, their faces twisted into grotesque grins.
I tried to scream, but my voice was trapped in the mirror. And as I watched, my reflection began to fade away, consumed by the darkness that surrounded me.
The last thing I saw was the town's sign, creaking in the wind: "Welcome to Tenebris –where reflections come to die."

The Wind That Faded Away

In whispers, it once caressed my skin
A gentle breeze that rustled within
Memories of laughter, love, and glee
Danced on its breath, wild and carefree
It carried scents of blooms and summer rain
Echoes of moments that refused to wane
But like the wind, those memories have fled
Leaving only whispers of what once was said
Now, the breeze stirs, a melancholy sigh
A reminder of what's lost, and why
I strain to hear the whispers of the past
But the wind's faint murmur is all that will last
In the silence, I'm left to recall
The memories that faded, one and all
Like autumn leaves, they withered, lost their hue
And the wind that whispered secrets, I'll never know anew
Yet still, I'll hold on to the whispers of the wind
And cherish the memories, though they're hard to find
For in their fading echoes, I hear a gentle tone
A reminder of love, and a heart that's still home
