Mathematics day celebration
As part of National Mathematics day, the department of Mathematics conducted Maths Week Celebration Math A Mnia'24 from 17 Dec 24- 21 Dec 24. Programme was organized for students from Classes 1 to 11. The event included a variety of engaging and educational activities designed to foster creativity, logical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among students.
Programme Highlights
Classes 1 & 2: Model Making
Class 1. Clay Models: Students created mathematical shapes and objects using clay, encouraging hands-on exploration of geometry.
Class 2. Chart Models: Students designed charts to illustrate basic mathematical concepts such as numbers, patterns, and shapes.
Classes 3 & 4: Problem-Solving Activities
Class 3: Tangrams
Students worked with tangrams to explore geometry and develop spatial reasoning skills.
Class 4: Maths Riddles
Students participated in solving fun and challenging mathematical riddles.
Class 5: Memory Game
Students participated in a memory game involving mathematical terms, symbols, and concepts.
Class 6: Sudoku Challenge. Students solved Sudoku puzzles, developing logical reasoning and pattern recognition abilities.
Class 7: Maths Relay
A relay-style competition was conducted where teams raced to solve mathematical problems
Class 8: Memory Match
Students played a memory-matching game focusing on mathematical formulas, terms, and concepts.
Class 9: Poster Making
Students created artistic posters based on mathematical themes, integrating creativity with mathematical knowledge.
Class 11: Quiz Competition
A Mathematics Quiz tested the students’ knowledge of mathematical concepts, their applications, and logical reasoning skills.
The Mathematics Day Programme was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. The activities not only made learning enjoyable but also highlighted the practical and creative aspects of mathematics.
SPEAKER OF THE MONTH:DECEMBER EDITION
The Speaker of the Month competition for December concluded with outstanding performances from students across various categories. The event, held at Safa English Medium School, aimed to foster public speaking skills, confidence, and creativity among students.
In the 9th and 10th category, Faheem Musthafa Mammasan from 9th-C emerged as the winner. Faheem's articulate delivery, engaging content, and persuasive arguments impressed the judges and audience alike.
In the 11th and 12th category, Hathiya Salih from 12th-Science took home the top honor. Hathiya's speech showcased exceptional oratory skills, depth of knowledge, and passion for the topic.
The competition was judged by a panel of esteemed teachers, who evaluated participants based on content, delivery, and overall impact.
Teachers and school staffs congratulated the winners and participants, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and public speaking skills in today's world.

Exciting Vacation Camp Ahead!
Safa English Medium school is gearing up to host an exciting Vacation Camp for students of Classes VIII and IX on Thursday, 26th December. The camp will be conducted in two separate sessions—one for boys and the other for girls.
This initiative aims to provide students with a platform to explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities specially designed for their age group.
We eagerly look forward to seeing enthusiastic participation from our students and are confident that this camp will be a memorable experience for all.
Enhancing Skills: Maths Workshop
A Maths Workshop is scheduled to be held on Friday, 27th December 2024, for selected students of Class 9.
This workshop aims to enhance mathematical skills and foster a deeper understanding of advanced concepts through interactive sessions and practical problem-solving activities.The participating students are encouraged to make the most of this opportunity to enrich their knowledge and skills.

THE SUN
Everyday the sun goes up and down
Saying "hi" and "goodbye"
The sun stays for a long time
Everybody loves the sun
But sometimes it is too hot
But when we go to the beach
It is the best day of my life
