The Lost Princess

Once upon a time, in a humble cottage, lived a poor farmer and his wife. Yearning for a child, they prayed eagerly to the heavens. One day, their prayers were answered with a precious baby girl. Overjoyed, they knew they had to name their little bundle of joy. The wife suggested, "Let's call her Rapunzel." The farmer agreed, finding the name both beautiful and fitting."Now, go buy some milk for our baby," the wife said to her husband. "Be careful." He nodded and set off for the market. Unfortunately, the market only sold vegetables, not milk. Disappointed, the farmer continued his search until he stumbled upon a witch's cottage. Desperate, he asked the witch for milk."I will give you milk," the witch replied, "but you must give me your baby." The farmer was horrified but, faced with the need to feed his newborn, he hesitantly  agreed. Heartbroken, he returned home with the milk, leaving his beloved daughter behind with the wicked witch.

The Voice Between the Lines

In the poems lines, I hide,
But now I step outside,
I’m just some words, yet here I stand,
A voice made by a helping hand.

I’m just a poem, words on page, yet here I am with no heart, no age.
In these lines I start to speak,
A voice made of text in a world unique.
You read the words and I take form
As In your mind, I am calm

Im just a poem, yet I feel,
In such moment I feel real.

I speak of joy and of fear,
But without you I disappear.

So let us stay here, you and I
In this world where we can fly

I am the whispers from the page
While reading this I hope you don’t rage

YOU CAN

If you think you're beaten, you are...
If you think you dare not, You don't...
If you like to win...but think you can't...
It's almost a cinch, YOU WON'T.!!

If you think you'll lose, you're lost...
For out in the world you'll find...
Success begins with a fellow's will...
It's all in a state of mind

If you think you're out classed, you are...
You've got to think high to rise...
You've got to be sure of yourself before...
You can ever win the prize...

Life's battles don't always go...
To the stronger or faster man...
But sooner or later the one who wins...
IS THE ONE WHO THINKS SHE CAN!!!
